Exploiter: Victim of DenialSubject: Poem, Exploitation, Blind Leadership
Those who deny that which they see, turning inward for what they portend to believe.
Inside they search for comfort and bliss, All is well, the familiar hiss.
Ideologies are built on shadows of wishes, How things should be, to the mind so delicious.
A mist of visions, of utopian tales, Follow carefully, breathe deeper, the stranger inhales.
You sensed a presence, not so fair, Looking for something to ease the despair.
A man in shade cometh over the mount, Preaching to all the sheep he can count.
Waves reach the ear so full of desire, Words borne from an incessant liar,
Follow me, I will take you yonder, Where all is bliss, my pasture is fonder.
Ease the pain, o’that I will, Suffocate the pain, the screaming shrill.
I’ve come to help in times not nice, When men are men, but to me just mice.
Do not think, believe in me, Do not doubt, just trust, don’t flee.
Do not think, just heed my word, Rational minds turn belief to curd.
Offer no gold, there is no price, Your submission alone today will suffice.
What I promise, I intend to deliver, Your freedom later, a priceless sliver.
I came, I saw, I conquered naught, The Will surrendered, little it fought.
Know it is done, the deed onto which, Freedom rings at a very low pitch.
What comes now, only fate can divulge, All bound together, the human bulge.
One leads many, many follow one, Their soul they sold, the deed is done.
